APOLOGIES FOR WEBSITE BEING DOWN
Firstly I would like to apologise to all who have been unable to easily source the details for my new strains here and to those also who are just adding BSB Genetics to their own catalogues who also could not get in here to retrieve the information you needed.
There was a technical issue with the website and the host, to get my website back online around a week ago, deleted what’s known as an ‘ecommerce plugin’ but forgot to tell me this would completely erase all my product pages, in short there would be no seeds for sale on here to view, just the ‘contact us’ and ‘blog’ pages as it has been for the last week.
However, far from being a technical wizard, today I have managed to find the route cause of the problem, update what’s known as a websites ‘PHP’ and that then allowed me to re-install the vital updated ‘ecommerce plugin’ and luckily still be able to retrieve all the historical data.
So in short my website is back!

NEW STRAINS GOING LIVE
I have today added Blackberry Rocks and The Runtz to the “BSB feminised” menu and still have 4 more strains to add which I’m working on and they will all be here asap, so please keep checking back if you require the photographs and information for each of those strains for your own websites or if you simply want to view them to decide which strain is right for you.

Firstly: Website Issues?

For reasoning beyond me this last couple of days I have had problems with my website. Initially the site went down due to a plug in error (technical issues). My web host disabled the plugin yesterday allowing the site to open. However the site is open again but now missing all product pages? I will be chasing this up.

I’m very used to being attacked by website hosts, banks, landlords etc for the crime of legally working within the canna world, so if this is another attempt to suppress me please rest assured it will, as have all others, fail!

EAZY SEEDS – NEW STRAINS
New strains are going to be released soon into our Eazy Seeds collection but we are keeping tight lipped on those additions for now as we build up the anticipation. AUTO SEEDS PRICE INCREASE
Unfortunately our breeding partner has increased the cost of our seeds as of March 2020 due to rising costs at their end. To minimalise the price increase I have taken the decision to only increase the cost of the auto seeds range which are now £34.99 per 5 or £59.99 per 10 seeds (previously £28.99 / £49.99). This increase helps us to recover our own costs but is not generating any extra profit for us, this decision was taken primarily keeping our customers in mind. Bulk prices across the board are also affected and this site will be edited to show the new pricing structures shortly.

CORONAVIRUS SETBACK
Unfortunately due to the current complete lockdown we may be unable to open on time, the planned opening being around the start of June, only time will tell, fingers crossed.

3rd CUP WIN & SHOW SUCCESS
We again took home 1st place for ‘Best Seed Bank’ at the 3rd edition of the Hemp & CBD Expo on Feb 29th and March 1st, again going toe to toe with Dinafem / Humboldt Seeds. NEW STORE COMING SOON:
There are now plans in place to re-establish a new retail premises for the business but it’s still maybe 3+ months away from happening.
The reasoning for the delay over the last few months is a personal battle I am going through within the family courts for my 3 children, for them to be allowed back into mine and their entire families lives again, they currently remain in hiding outside of the city with their mother.
I refuse to keep quiet about this because this past few months it’s had such a massive impact on the business, financially it’s been a huge drain and mentally being an alienated parent is incredibly difficult to cope with.

But the good news is plans are now in place to start moving forwards again, however there’s still other processes that need to fall into place first before this can happen.

NEW MAGAZINE LAUNCH:
On February 29th at the Hemp & CBD Expo we’ll be launching the 2nd edition of our BSB Genetics catalogue featuring 2 new CBD strains and fully updated bringing 2019 to a close and looking forwards to a huge 2020.

NEW STRAINS 2020:
No name releases just yet but you will see new strains being added to our collection in the coming months. More expansion into the Californian market is behind this and a new CBG Cookies strain could be on the menu.

Hi all, just a quick update on all the goings on behind the scenes at BSB Genetics.

Firstly I would like to introduce Jon to the scene. Jon has a vast wealth of experience in growing and consuming and has previously worked in the hydroponic industry. A customer of 12 years Jon is incredibly familiar with BSB Genetics. All this is fantastic but what really stands out is Jon’s passion for this trade and his enthusiasm. For these reasons there could be nobody more suited to work alongside me and help keep the daily running of BSB Genetics on track. Once a new retail premises is up and running Jon will be there to help and advise in all the legal ways he can 😀

Secondly, but not least, last week we won 2nd place ‘Best Seeds Bank’ at the Hemp & CBD Expo being pipped to the post this time by none other than Attitude Seeds Bank, and finishing ahead of 3rd placed Dinafem Seeds, 2 giants I am happy to be sandwiched in the middle of 😀
The Expo has again been a fantastic success for us with multiple new business opportunities to be snapped up and an ever growing online presence for BSB Genetics through the largest online seed providers.

Shop Relocation:
The business has over recent years been totally consumed by my in-house brand BSB Genetics meaning it’s been almost 2 years since I last ordered seeds for sale from any other breeder. And with the business now heading in a different direction with wholesale distribution it means I no longer require a large high street premises to operate from.
So I am in search of a far smaller premises which can provide a small showroom where purchases can be made over the counter and an office where I can work from, that’s the goal.
I am still looking to remain local to the Northfield area where the business has always been established but there is currently no urgency to jump into the first available premises.

A meeting with the landlord of a new property I am hopeful of securing now looks imminent and could happen today (fingers crossed).
What could be the new premises is only half a mile away and still on the Bristol Road South.
It’s an ideal sized property and pretty much ready to move straight into.
There are other options but this property is most suited due to it’s location and it has rear parking.
There are plenty of vacant properties if this one doesn’t materialise so I’m not panicking and with the nature of the business also being manufacturing and wholesale with retail clients travelling from across Britain being on a busy high street is no longer necessary and preferably avoidable. This means many locations with lower rental values away from busy shopping area’s are well suited for my trade.

BSB Genetics stocks are currently on sale at S&J Jewellery right opposite the old shop.

I’ll update again once things are set in stone.
